Linda Wyatt was elected to the FAB Board in October 2014. AIM Awards is a general awarding organisation recognised by Ofqual in November 2010. Currently they have over 400 qualifications over almost the full range of levels but their focus is at the lower levels. Linda is the CEO of AIM Awards and has taken the organisation through Ofqual recognition, the split from NOCN to be an independent AO and then extension to recognition by Ofqual twice – firstly for Functional Skills and latterly for ESOL. Her background is a career in the food industry followed by 23 years in Further Education before joining AIM Awards 8 years ago.
AIM Awards became a member of FAB very quickly after becoming an independent AO and has been a member of the FAB 14-19 group for a number of years and Linda is now Deputy Chair of the group. She also attends other groups and encourages the active involvement of staff in the work that FAB does.
Linda is an experienced senior manager, a member of her own Board of Trustees but also was a member of the NOCN Board for a number of years and is currently a governor for an LA controlled Primary School. She acts as chair to various groups, including a Career academy in Derby. Linda meets with government departments and senior leaders in the course of her day to day work.
