The consultation was launched on 30 November and is available at www.gov.uk

The T level reforms are a key area of focus for FAB in 2018 and we will be responding formally to the T level consultation. As always, it is crucial that our consultation response reflects the views of our members. We are therefore, in addition to the stakeholder consultation events, holding two consultation events in January 2018 exclusively for members. At these events, we will discuss our planned response and invite members’ comments and feedback on key areas of the consultation document. There will also be an opportunity to discuss key issues with colleagues from other AOs and identify the type of support that FAB can most usefully provide to members as this policy area develops.

If you would like to join us to shape our consultation response, please register:

  • 22 January 2018, Central London, 10.30am-4.00pm
  • 24 January 2018, Birmingham, 10.30am-4.00pm

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force in May 2018 and will be directly applicable in the UK, regardless of Brexit. The GDPR will expand the scope of data protection laws, increase the penalties for breaches, and change the processing, recording and other compliance obligations of all organisations, including awarding organisations (AOs).  FAB and BWB are holding a GDPR workshop at BWB’s London office exclusively for FAB members [Further Info]
