The new independent regulator
On 26th September 2007 the government announced its intention to establish a new independent regulator. FAB is working with QCA and the government to influence this new development.

Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)
The qualifications system in England is undergoing a period of wide ranging reform.
FAB continues to work with QCA to enhance awarding bodies understanding of the QCF. Further information on the reform and FAB's contribution is available on the members' site.

Employer and provider recognition
FAB has responded to the consultation on employer and provider recognition. Further details on the proposed recognition process and FAB's response to the consultation are available on the members' website.
The Credit and Framework strategic working group
The Credit and Framework Strategic working group leads on these areas of work and Isabel Sutcliffe, the Chair of this group is the FAB representative on Strand 2 of the Vocational Qualification Reform Programme (VQRP). Information on the VQRP can be found within the main menu of this website. The group meet every six weeks, with additional meetings held as required.
