Awarding Body and SSC Working Relationships
The importance of good working relationships between Sector Skills Councils and Awarding Bodies has long been recognised as being benefical. In January 2008 a qualification reform programme meeting consisting of six pilot phase Sector Skills Councils (SSCs) and awarding body representatives agreed draft text for an awarding body/SSC working relationships protocol, which the DIUS has since shown its support for. The purpose of the document is to explore how both partners can better work together collectively to ensure the operation of a transparent qualifications system meeting the needs of employers and learners.
The closing date for the consultation was 20 May 2008. Responses to the consultation have been analysed and the report is available here.
