UKCES Update Workshop for Awarding Organisations

Information
The rescheduled FAB and UKCES event is now being held on 26th January to update members on key aspects of the Commission's work that have implications for members. These are:
- The NOS Strategy – the overview of the strategy, the new format for NOS and the quality assurance of the NOS development with information about the new NOS database
- The Qualification Development Timelines Project – which has been led by the UKCES to see how the processes for qualification development and approval by SSCs can be streamlined and shortened
- The new Apprenticeship frameworks – the new Specifications for Apprenticeship Standards for England (SASE), the process for developing and getting approval for new frameworks and their quality assurance.
These are all areas of the Commission's activity that will become even more important for members as we move into 2011 and members are encouraged to take the opportunity to hear the latest information with regard to them.
At the end of the event there will also be a 'mini-surgery' to give members the opportunity to provide feedback on SSC activity and raise any issues with UKCES staff.
