‘International Accreditation of Vocational Qualifications’s Conference and Exhibition’, is taking place on the 16th & 17th of November in Bahrain and will be opened by His Excellency Dr Majeed bin Mohsen Al-Alawai for the Ministry of Labour.
UK awarding bodies are invited to participate in this conference/exhibition. The event is in line with the education, training and labour market initiative and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. The main organising body is the Bahrain Training Institute which is supported by the Ministry of Labour. The Ministry of Labour plans to improve / raise and enhance the quality of vocational qualifications’ and their recognition through the support of international awarding bodies
What are the objectives of the conference?
- To share knowledge, information and experience in the area of accreditation in the UK and the region.
- To be in line with the Ministry of Labour’s scheme to increase the percentage of externally bench marked and accredited qualifications.
- To identify how collaboration between the countries of the region and between the UK and the region might best facilitate appropriate change.
- To link expertise from the country/ region and the UK in terms of quality assurance and bench marking of in-house/ local educational and training programmes.
- To enhance the progress made by the Kingdom of Bahrain’s reform initiatives in the fields of education, training and labour market.
- To link with the regional momentum and efforts towards formulating a regional qualification framework model.
Who’s expected to participate?
Professionals in the field of or interested in the quality of training enhancement and vocational qualification accreditation, such as managers of training institutions, heads of HR departments, training officers in companies and a number of experts from the Kingdom of Bahrain, United Kingdom and Arabian Gulf.
