QCF Awarding Body Readiness Programme
The Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) and the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) are leading the QCF Readiness project to help awarding organisations prepare for the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). To support them, we will be carrying out a range of activities such as providing advice and training and running workshops. From time to time, we will also publish documents that may be helpful, particularly the latest versions of QCF guidance. The first set of guidance documents are:
- Developing units and qualifications for occupational competence in the Qualifications and Credit Framework – Additional guidance to support sector skills councils and standards setting bodies, QCA, May 2009 (QCA/09/4261)
- The quality and standardization of units in the Qualifications and Credit Framework, QCA, June 2009 (QCA/09/4281)
- Credits from equivalent units within the Qualifications and Credit Framework, QCA, June 2009, QCA/09/4282
- Exemptions in the Qualifications and Credit Framework, QCA, June 2009, QCA/09/4284.
A list of hyperlinks to a number of other documents regarding the QCF can be accessed here.
